Programs for international students

Education at AMD Akademie Mode & Design places emphasis on qualifying graduates for an internationalized labour market. To achieve this, AMD works continuously to provide international study opportunities of high quality for our students through our worldwide network of partner institutions.

Working with key international partners is important in the continued internationalization of AMD’s academic programs and in developing new initiatives to the mutual benefit of our students.

Student mobility is one of the key pillars of internationalization at AMD, thus we encourage our students to study abroad during their studies. Our international partner institutions each provide unique learning opportunities for our students. Likewise, our incoming students contribute to the internationalization of our university, both personally and academically.

STUDENT EXCHANGE WITH HONGIK UNIVERSITY, SEOUL, KOREA
Every winter semester AMD welcomes undergraduate students from one of the largest and esteemed universities in Seoul, Korea. Students have the opportunity to study for one semester in the Interior Design (B.A.) programme at the AMD Hamburg campus.

STUDENT EXCHANGE WITH Shanghai International College of Fashion and Innovation – DONGHUA UNIVERSITY, SHANGHAI
Since 2019 AMD welcomes bachelor students from one of the most prestigious universities in Shanghai, China. Students have the opportunity to study Fashion Design B.A. in Berlin or Interior Design B.A. in Hamburg for one semester.

STUDENT EXCHANGE WITH ROYAL MELBOURNE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA
RMIT‘s Fashion students have the opportunity to study Fashion Design B.A. in Berlin for one semester.

STUDENT EXCHANGE WITH RYERSON UNIVERSITY, TORONTO, CANADA
Since 2020 fashion students from Ryerson University have the opportunity to study Fashion Design B.A. in Berlin for one semester
