The AMD

The AMD Academy of Fashion & Design GmbH was founded more than 20 years ago as a private institution offering professional training, continuing educationand corporate training in the fashion, media and design sectors. Since this time, the Academy has successfully run courses at its sites in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Munich and Berlin, brought together a team of tutors with proven competence and developed an extensive network of contacts.

In 2005, the AMD Academy of Fashion & Design College was established as a spin-off of the Academy with headquarters in Hamburg and study centres at the other locations. The College offers independent Bachelor’s degree courses, while the Academy offers recognised training courses in subjects essential to the fashion and design industry: the Fashion Journalism / Media Communication course in the tradition of the German schools of journalism offering the opportunity to specialise in fashion, management training, corporate training and continuing education for the fashion and design industry. Both the College and the Academy profit from their mutual dialogue and rapport.
